Turn newly logged objections into response drafts
Give the team a starting reply to a fresh objection, with the context captured in its Notion record.
Trigger
New Page
Triggers when a new page is added to a Notion database.
Action
Get Character Response
Tool to generate a response from a ConvAI character based on text or audio input. Use when needing a text or voice reply in an ongoing session.
Why this helps
Objections often receive inconsistent answers because the first person who sees them has to invent a response on the spot.
- Create a response candidate from the newly logged objection.
- Reduce repeated effort in preparing answers to common concerns.
- Give the team a draft to review for tone and accuracy.
Setup
Build it in a few focused steps.
- 1Connect Notion and Convolo ai to Notis once in the portal.
- 2Create an automation in the portal or ask Notis to make one conversationally.
- 3In one instruction, ask Notis to use new objection records and the matching character context to generate a Convolo response for review.
- 4Select New Page for the objection database and choose where run reports should go.
- 5Test with one real objection and review the response before using it.
Questions about this workflow
Will this send a sales reply automatically?
No. Get Character Response generates a response based on the supplied input; the team can review it before use.
Can the workflow use an existing objection library?
Yes. Explain in the instruction how the new record relates to the relevant character and any approved context.

Supported Triggers and Actions
Notis builds workflows that link Notion to Convolo ai. A trigger fires from one place; an action lands in another.
Notion triggers
Convolo ai actions
Recurring trigger
Notis starts this workflow on a schedule, such as daily, weekly, or during business hours.
Create Character
Tool to create a new character. Use when you have name, voice type, backstory, and optional actions ready.
Webhook trigger
Notis starts this workflow when an external tool or custom backend sends an HTTP request.
Define or Update Character Actions

All Page Events
Triggers when any Notion page is created or updated across the workspace.
Evaluate Character Performance
Tool to evaluate a character's performance based on interactions. Use after fetching a conversation session and constructing your prompt.
Comment Created
Triggers when a new comment is created in Notion. Optional `page_id` filter scopes to comments on a specific page. When omitted, fires for any new comment in the workspace the integration has access to. Requires the 'Read comments' capability on the Notion integration. If a connection was authorized before that capability was enabled, the user must re-authorize the connection for comment events to flow.
Generate Starter Conversation
Tool to generate starter conversation suggestions for a character. Use when you need opening or follow-up dialogue lines.
New Comment
Triggers when a new comment is added to a specified Notion block or page.
Get Character Response
Tool to generate a response from a ConvAI character based on text or audio input. Use when needing a text or voice reply in an ongoing session.
Database Created
Triggers when a new Notion database (the container) is created. A database is the post-2025-09-03 container that holds one or more data sources. This trigger fires for the container's creation event (`database.created`), distinct from `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` which fires when a new data source is added to an existing database. Most customers calling Notion's `POST /v1/databases` (the legacy API) or creating a database via the Notion UI will see this event. Adding a new data source to an existing database fires `data_source.created` instead — use `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` for that. Notion's payload puts `entity.type: "block"` (the container is a `child_database` block in the content tree) and `entity.id` is the database id.
List Voices
Tool to retrieve the list of available voice types. Use when selecting voices before generating speech.
Data Source Created
Triggers when a new Notion data source is created. Fires workspace-wide. The payload's `data.parent` carries the data source's tree parent (typically the teamspace) for downstream filtering. A single template-based database creation can fire multiple `data_source.created` events at once — one per data source the template instantiates.
Set Core AI Settings
Tool to set core AI settings for a character. Use after confirming character existence.
Data Source Schema Updated
Triggers when a Notion data source's schema is updated. Fires on column add / remove / rename. Payload includes `data.updated_properties: [{id, name, action}]` so consumers can discriminate the kind of change downstream. Optional `data_source_id` filter scopes to schema changes on a single data source. When omitted, fires for any schema change in the workspace the integration has access to. Note: adding a column also fires `page.properties_updated` once per existing row in the data source. Customers wanting a single structural-change signal should use this trigger.
Update Character Backstory
Tool to update a character's backstory. Use when you need to modify the backstory of an existing character after confirming its ID. Only the provided fields will be updated.
