Notion AI is built into a collaborative workspace. Its personal Agent works inside Notion, while Custom Agents let teams create many specialized agents with separate instructions, triggers, permissions, and users.

Yes. If Custom Agents means creating separate agents for employees, third-party users, or customer-facing service channels with carefully scoped access to tools and data, Notion is the stronger product. Its Custom Agents have independent permissions and can operate in selected Slack channels. Notis does not offer that product: it is your personal intern and is made to be accessed by you.

No. You can give Notis skills, integrations, MCP servers, automations, and detailed instructions, but those extend the same intern working for you. You cannot package multiple Notis agents for customers or third parties with separate access policies.

Custom Agents require a Notion Business or Enterprise workspace and then use metered Notion credits at $10 per 1,000 credits. Notion's own estimates put common runs at roughly $0.03 to $0.30 each: Q&A at $0.03–$0.11, task routing at $0.05–$0.15, and a daily brief at $0.10–$0.30. Credits are shared, reset monthly without rollover, and agents pause when the balance runs out. Cheap in a demo; potentially an obscene bill when many agents run all day.

Yes. Notion launched the standalone Notion Agents iOS app on July 8, 2026. It supports the Notion Agent, Custom Agent chats, page editing, model selection, attachments, voice dictation, and image generation. It currently requires an iPhone on iOS 26 or later; iPad and Android support are still planned.

No. Notis is too busy doing the work. And if it ever puts one on, we promise it will not charge you credits for the wardrobe change.

Notion is much closer to that use case than Notis, but the access path matters. Custom Agents can work in selected Slack channels and can be shared with workspace members using their own scoped permissions. Notion guests and restricted members cannot directly ask a Custom Agent questions inside Notion, so validate the exact customer-channel setup you need before rollout.

Notis, if you want to capture a thought from any channel and have one assistant carry it through Gmail, Notion, your calendar, CRM, local computer, or other tools. Notion AI makes more sense when most of the work and context already live in Notion, or when you are intentionally building specialized agents for a team.

It is a free, optional Notion starter workspace for areas, projects, tasks, reminders, notes, documents, bookmarks, meeting minutes, contacts, and CRM. We made it for people who want to start in Notion with something better than a blank page. It does not power Notis and you never have to use it.

Not at all. Notion can be one of Notis's tools, but it is optional. Keep tasks in Todoist, Asana, or ClickUp; notes in Google Docs or Apple Notes; customers in HubSpot, Salesforce, or Pipedrive; and connect the rest of your stack from 1,000+ integrations. Notis is the intern connecting the tools, not a reason to migrate everything.

Yes. Notis can search, create, and update your existing Notion pages and databases while also working across the rest of your stack. You do not need to replace your current system with the Notis Second Brain template.
