How the finder decides
Hard filters
An assistant that misses the channel or a capability you locked no longer matches. Your other channels, jobs and must-haves add to its score.
Documented capabilities
Every assistant is scored on the same capability rows, taken from its own docs and pricing pages. A capability we could not confirm scores zero.
Setup effort
Assistants you host yourself or run with your own model key score lower than ones that work out of the box. They stay in the list, with a setup label.
Budget
If you set a budget, an assistant priced above it, or without a comparable USD price, no longer matches. Among the matches, price never changes the order.
Questions about the finder
- How long does the finder take?
- About two minutes for eight questions. It is free and does not ask for your email.
- Do I have to answer every question?
- No. Answer the first two, then skip any question that does not apply. The ranking uses what you answered.
- Why is a tool I have heard of missing from my results?
- The results show the top six. A tool that misses something you locked or costs more than your budget ranks below every match, and some tools are not in our data yet.
- Is the ranking personalised or the same for everyone?
- It comes from your answers alone, so the same answers always give the same order. No vendor pays for placement, and there are no affiliate links.
- Do the role and team-size questions affect my result?
- No. We use your role, team size, age and apps only for anonymous statistics. The ranking comes from your channels, capabilities and budget.
- How current is the data?
- Each product's data carries the date we last checked its public docs. These products change fast, so treat the results as a snapshot from those dates.
