Give shared Drive files a map to repository docs
When a file is shared with new collaborators, include the topics available in its related repository wiki so technical references are easier to find.
Trigger
File Shared (Permissions Added)
Triggers when new sharing permissions are granted to a file or folder. Uses Drive's `changes.list` endpoint with inline `permissions` in the `fields` mask so each change carries the file's current permission set provider-atomically. We diff that against `seen_permission_keys` to identify newly added grants. Drive page tokens are the primary cursor; if Drive rejects a stored token, the trigger raises `PollingTriggerError` without clearing state rather than silently re-baselining and dropping events. Limitation: truly ephemeral permissions (added and revoked between two polls without any other file modification in between) are not detected. Drive Activity API would catch those but requires an additional OAuth scope and a different payload contract.
Action
Read wiki structure
Get a list of documentation topics for a GitHub repository. Args: repoName: GitHub repository in owner/repo format (e.g. "facebook/react")
Why this helps
New collaborators can receive a project file without knowing where the codebase documentation lives or what it covers.
- Make repository documentation discoverable during a sharing handoff.
- Give collaborators a quick view of available wiki topics.
- Cut follow-up messages asking where technical documentation lives.
Setup
Build it in a few focused steps.
- 1Connect Google Drive and Devin MCP once in the Notis portal.
- 2Create an automation in Automations, New Automation, and name it.
- 3Tell Notis to retrieve wiki topics for the repository related to each newly shared Drive file and include them in the report.
- 4Pick the Google Drive File Shared trigger and choose where run reports go.
- 5Test with one real sharing event and verify the repository is identified correctly.
Questions about this workflow
Does the trigger tell Devin who received access?
The event indicates that sharing permissions were added. This workflow uses it as a cue and does not claim that recipient details are available to Devin.
What does Devin return?
Read wiki structure provides the list of documentation topics for the specified repository.
