Bring current library documentation into Drive comment follow-up
Turn a library question in a document comment into a focused answer grounded in current Context7 documentation.
Trigger
Comment Added (Docs/Sheets/Slides)
Triggers when a new comment is added to Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
Action
Query-docs
Retrieves and queries up-to-date documentation and code examples from Context7 for any programming library or framework. You must call 'resolve-library-id' first to obtain the exact Context7-compatible library ID required to use this tool, UNLESS the user explicitly provides a library ID in the format '/org/project' or '/org/project/version' in their query. IMPORTANT: Do not call this tool more than 3 times per question. If you cannot find what you need after 3 calls, use the best information you have.
Why this helps
A question in a document comment can sit waiting while someone switches apps to find reliable, version-aware guidance.
- Reduce context switching from document comments to documentation searches.
- Get current docs and code examples for the library named in a comment.
- Give reviewers a draft grounded in retrieved source material.
Setup
Build it in a few focused steps.
- 1Connect Google Drive and Context7 MCP once in the Notis portal.
- 2Create an automation in Automations, New Automation, and name the comment follow-up.
- 3In one instruction, ask Notis to identify the library and question in each new comment, resolve the library first when needed, then query Context7 and summarize the source-backed answer for review.
- 4Pick the Google Drive Comment Added trigger, then choose where run reports go.
- 5Test with one real comment that names a library and asks a concrete question.
Questions about this workflow
Which Drive comments can start this?
The listed trigger starts on a new comment in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
Does the workflow post a reply into the comment thread?
The specified Context7 action retrieves and queries documentation. Describe the desired draft in the Notis report; posting a reply is not part of this action.
What if the comment leaves out a library version?
Ask Notis to use current Context7 documentation and clearly note when the comment does not specify a version.

Supported Triggers and Actions
Notis builds workflows that link Google Drive to Context7 MCP. A trigger fires from one place; an action lands in another.

Recurring trigger
Notis starts this workflow on a schedule, such as daily, weekly, or during business hours.
Webhook trigger
Notis starts this workflow when an external tool or custom backend sends an HTTP request.
Resolve-library-id
Resolves a package/product name to a Context7-compatible library ID and returns matching libraries. You MUST call this function before 'query-docs' to obtain a valid Context7-compatible library ID UNLESS the user explicitly provides a library ID in the format '/org/project' or '/org/project/version' in their query. Selection Process: 1. Analyze the query to understand what library/package the user is looking for 2. Return the most relevant match based on: - Name similarity to the query (exact matches prioritized) - Description relevance to the query's intent - Documentation coverage (prioritize libraries with higher Code Snippet counts) - Source reputation (consider libraries with High or Medium reputation more authoritative) - Benchmark Score: Quality indicator (100 is the highest score) Response Format: - Return the selected library ID in a clearly marked section - Provide a brief explanation for why this library was chosen - If multiple good matches exist, acknowledge this but proceed with the most relevant one - If no good matches exist, clearly state this and suggest query refinements For ambiguous queries, request clarification before proceeding with a best-guess match. IMPORTANT: Do not call this tool more than 3 times per question. If you cannot find what you need after 3 calls, use the best result you have.
Comment Added (Docs/Sheets/Slides)
Triggers when a new comment is added to Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides.
File Created
Triggers when a new file is created in Google Drive.
File Deleted or Trashed
Triggers when a file is moved to trash or permanently deleted in Drive.
File Shared (Permissions Added)
Triggers when new sharing permissions are granted to a file or folder. Uses Drive's `changes.list` endpoint with inline `permissions` in the `fields` mask so each change carries the file's current permission set provider-atomically. We diff that against `seen_permission_keys` to identify newly added grants. Drive page tokens are the primary cursor; if Drive rejects a stored token, the trigger raises `PollingTriggerError` without clearing state rather than silently re-baselining and dropping events. Limitation: truly ephemeral permissions (added and revoked between two polls without any other file modification in between) are not detected. Drive Activity API would catch those but requires an additional OAuth scope and a different payload contract.
File Updated
Triggers when a file's metadata or content changes in Google Drive.
Google Drive Changes
Triggers when changes are detected in a Google Drive.
