Give collaborators CMS context for newly shared Drive files
Sharing an asset is easier when collaborators can find the related CMS content. Search Contentful when new Drive permissions are granted.
Trigger
File Shared (Permissions Added)
Triggers when new sharing permissions are granted to a file or folder. Uses Drive's `changes.list` endpoint with inline `permissions` in the `fields` mask so each change carries the file's current permission set provider-atomically. We diff that against `seen_permission_keys` to identify newly added grants. Drive page tokens are the primary cursor; if Drive rejects a stored token, the trigger raises `PollingTriggerError` without clearing state rather than silently re-baselining and dropping events. Limitation: truly ephemeral permissions (added and revoked between two polls without any other file modification in between) are not detected. Drive Activity API would catch those but requires an additional OAuth scope and a different payload contract.
Action
GraphQL Content API Query
Tool to execute a GraphQL query against a specified space and environment. Use when fetching Contentful content via GraphQL after obtaining or providing a valid token.
Why this helps
A shared asset can reach collaborators without the Contentful context they need to use it well.
- Surface related entries when an asset is shared
- Help collaborators orient without a separate CMS search
- Keep file sharing activity connected to content context
Setup
Build it in a few focused steps.
- 1Connect Google Drive and Contentful graphql once in the Notis portal.
- 2Create an automation for adding CMS context to shared assets.
- 3Tell Notis to search Contentful using the shared file's available name and details, then summarize related entries for the run report.
- 4Pick the Google Drive File Shared trigger and choose the report destination.
- 5Test with one real sharing event and review the report.
Questions about this workflow
Does this expose private Contentful data to everyone with Drive access?
The workflow sends results to the run report destination you choose. Choose a channel appropriate for the information returned.
Can it detect exactly who can access a file?
The Drive trigger represents new sharing permissions. The workflow should only report details supplied by the event and query.

Supported Triggers and Actions
Notis builds workflows that link Google Drive to Contentful graphql. A trigger fires from one place; an action lands in another.
Google Drive triggers
Contentful graphql actions
