Ways Notis can move work from Notion to Kadoa

View example

Turn a Notion research request into a crawl

Start a Kadoa crawl when you add a research request to Notion, so gathering source material begins without a separate setup task.

View example

Create a Kadoa workflow from a Notion source record

When a Notion record signals a new source to track, have Notis create a Kadoa workflow to extract its data.

View example

Add a validation rule for a new extraction spec

When you add an extraction specification in Notion, have Notis ask Kadoa to generate a relevant validation rule for its workflow.

View example

Configure monitoring when tracking becomes a priority

When a Notion source record is marked for ongoing tracking, have Notis configure Kadoa workflow monitoring for it.

View example

Refresh a Kadoa workflow after extraction requirements change

When the body of a Notion requirements page changes, have Notis request a Kadoa workflow update to reflect the new extraction needs.

View example

Review Kadoa configuration when a Notion comment raises a concern

When someone comments on a Notion source page with a workflow concern, have Notis fetch the Kadoa configuration for review.

View example

Check Kadoa validation results when a review is requested

When a Notion record is updated to request a quality review, have Notis retrieve the latest Kadoa validation results.

View example

Fetch extraction history for a Notion audit request

When an audit request is recorded or updated in Notion, have Notis retrieve the Kadoa workflow run history.

View example

Extract a one-off web page captured in Notion

Create a Notion page with a URL and extraction request, then have Notis run a Kadoa ad-hoc extraction for a quick data capture.

Supported Triggers and Actions

Notis builds workflows that link Notion to Kadoa. A trigger fires from one place; an action lands in another.

Notion triggers

Kadoa actions

Recurring trigger

Notis starts this workflow on a schedule, such as daily, weekly, or during business hours.

TriggerScheduled

Create Notification Channel

Tool to create a notification channel for alerts delivery.

ActionInstant

Webhook trigger

Notis starts this workflow when an external tool or custom backend sends an HTTP request.

TriggerInstant

Enable Data Validation

Tool to enable data validation on a specified workflow. Use after creating or updating a workflow to enforce its validation rules.

ActionInstant

All Page Events

Triggers when any Notion page is created or updated across the workspace.

TriggerPolling

Fetch workflow configuration

Tool to fetch an advanced workflow’s configuration details. Use when you have a workflow ID and need its steps and metadata.

ActionInstant

Comment Created

Triggers when a new comment is created in Notion. Optional `page_id` filter scopes to comments on a specific page. When omitted, fires for any new comment in the workspace the integration has access to. Requires the 'Read comments' capability on the Notion integration. If a connection was authorized before that capability was enabled, the user must re-authorize the connection for comment events to flow.

TriggerInstant

Get all locations

Tool to retrieve a list of all available locations. Use when you need to know supported locations before performing location-dependent operations. Use after authenticating with your API key.

ActionInstant

New Comment

Triggers when a new comment is added to a specified Notion block or page.

TriggerPolling

Get Crawled Page Content

Tool to retrieve content of a crawled page. Use when you need the HTML or Markdown of a page from a specific crawling session.

ActionInstant

Database Created

Triggers when a new Notion database (the container) is created. A database is the post-2025-09-03 container that holds one or more data sources. This trigger fires for the container's creation event (`database.created`), distinct from `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` which fires when a new data source is added to an existing database. Most customers calling Notion's `POST /v1/databases` (the legacy API) or creating a database via the Notion UI will see this event. Adding a new data source to an existing database fires `data_source.created` instead — use `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` for that. Notion's payload puts `entity.type: "block"` (the container is a `child_database` block in the content tree) and `entity.id` is the database id.

TriggerInstant

Get Crawled Pages

Tool to list pages crawled during a session. Use when you need to paginate through results after starting a crawl session.

ActionInstant

Data Source Created

Triggers when a new Notion data source is created. Fires workspace-wide. The payload's `data.parent` carries the data source's tree parent (typically the teamspace) for downstream filtering. A single template-based database creation can fire multiple `data_source.created` events at once — one per data source the template instantiates.

TriggerInstant

Get Crawl Status

Tool to fetch current status of a crawling session. Use when you need to check progress of a crawl by its session ID.

ActionInstant

Data Source Schema Updated

Triggers when a Notion data source's schema is updated. Fires on column add / remove / rename. Payload includes `data.updated_properties: [{id, name, action}]` so consumers can discriminate the kind of change downstream. Optional `data_source_id` filter scopes to schema changes on a single data source. When omitted, fires for any schema change in the workspace the integration has access to. Note: adding a column also fires `page.properties_updated` once per existing row in the data source. Customers wanting a single structural-change signal should use this trigger.

TriggerInstant

Get Notification Event Types

Tool to retrieve supported notification event types. Use when you need to enumerate available notification triggers.

Trigger Types

Four ways to start an automation.

A trigger is the event that kicks a workflow off. Notis supports four kinds: an event in a connected app, an inbound webhook, a recurring schedule, and soon, your own database.

Integration triggers

Fire when something happens inside a connected app. New Notion page, Stripe charge, Linear issue: any of 1,000+ apps can start a workflow.

New Notion pageStripe chargeCalendar event

Webhook triggers

A unique URL per workflow. Anything that can send an HTTP POST can start an automation, including no-code tools that speak webhooks.

Recurring triggers

Cron-style schedules run a workflow on the clock. Daily standups, hourly syncs, business-hours-only digests: the workhorse of Notis.

Why AI automation

Classic automation breaks. AI adapts.

Same triggers and actions, smarter middle. AI handles the fuzziness that breaks traditional Zapier-style workflows the moment a field gets renamed.
