Ways Notis can move work from Notion to Ignisign

View example

Start a signature request from a new contract record

Turn a new Notion contract record into a draft Ignisign signature request so the signing process starts while the details are fresh.

View example

Publish an approved agreement for signature

When a Notion agreement's properties change to show it is approved and ready, ask Notis to publish its prepared Ignisign request.

View example

Keep a draft request aligned with agreement updates

When a Notion agreement's tracked details change before sending, update the matching Ignisign request while it is still a draft.

View example

Refresh document data from an agreement page

When the content of a Notion agreement page changes, use its updated structured details to refresh the JSON content of its Ignisign document.

View example

Attach an agreement file to its Ignisign document

When a new Notion agreement page arrives, have Notis provide its associated file content to the prepared Ignisign document.

View example

Provide private agreement content by hash

For a new Notion agreement record with a prepared Ignisign document placeholder, submit its private content hash for signing.

View example

Initialize an Ignisign document for a new agreement subpage

When a new agreement subpage is added under a chosen Notion page, link a new document to its existing Ignisign request.

View example

Update Ignisign document details after agreement edits

When agreement page content changes in Notion, refresh the corresponding Ignisign document label, description, or external identifier.

View example

Close a signing process when an agreement is withdrawn

When a Notion agreement is marked withdrawn, close its active Ignisign signature request to prevent further signing activity.

Supported Triggers and Actions

Notis builds workflows that link Notion to Ignisign. A trigger fires from one place; an action lands in another.

Notion triggers

Ignisign actions

Recurring trigger

Notis starts this workflow on a schedule, such as daily, weekly, or during business hours.

TriggerScheduled

Ignisign API Authentication

Tool to authenticate an application over Ignisign API and retrieve a JWT. Use when obtaining a bearer token before making other API calls.

ActionInstant

Webhook trigger

Notis starts this workflow when an external tool or custom backend sends an HTTP request.

TriggerInstant

Cancel Signature Request

Tool to cancel a signature request. Use after identifying the signature request to abort.

ActionInstant

All Page Events

Triggers when any Notion page is created or updated across the workspace.

TriggerPolling

Initialize Document

Tool to initialize a document for a signature request. Use when linking a new document to an existing signature request after creating that request.

ActionInstant

Comment Created

Triggers when a new comment is created in Notion. Optional `page_id` filter scopes to comments on a specific page. When omitted, fires for any new comment in the workspace the integration has access to. Requires the 'Read comments' capability on the Notion integration. If a connection was authorized before that capability was enabled, the user must re-authorize the connection for comment events to flow.

TriggerInstant

Create Signer

Tool to create a new signer. Use when onboarding a signer to an application environment after selecting a signer profile.

ActionInstant

New Comment

Triggers when a new comment is added to a specified Notion block or page.

TriggerPolling

Create Webhook Endpoint

Tool to create a new webhook endpoint for an application. Use after obtaining application ID and environment to register for event notifications.

ActionInstant

Database Created

Triggers when a new Notion database (the container) is created. A database is the post-2025-09-03 container that holds one or more data sources. This trigger fires for the container's creation event (`database.created`), distinct from `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` which fires when a new data source is added to an existing database. Most customers calling Notion's `POST /v1/databases` (the legacy API) or creating a database via the Notion UI will see this event. Adding a new data source to an existing database fires `data_source.created` instead — use `NOTION_DATASOURCE_CREATED` for that. Notion's payload puts `entity.type: "block"` (the container is a `child_database` block in the content tree) and `entity.id` is the database id.

TriggerInstant

Delete Document

Tool to delete a specific document by its ID. Use when you need to permanently remove a document after processing is complete.

ActionInstant

Data Source Created

Triggers when a new Notion data source is created. Fires workspace-wide. The payload's `data.parent` carries the data source's tree parent (typically the teamspace) for downstream filtering. A single template-based database creation can fire multiple `data_source.created` events at once — one per data source the template instantiates.

TriggerInstant

Delete Ignisign Signature Request

Tool to delete a signature request. Use when you need to permanently remove a signature request by its ID.

ActionInstant

Data Source Schema Updated

Triggers when a Notion data source's schema is updated. Fires on column add / remove / rename. Payload includes `data.updated_properties: [{id, name, action}]` so consumers can discriminate the kind of change downstream. Optional `data_source_id` filter scopes to schema changes on a single data source. When omitted, fires for any schema change in the workspace the integration has access to. Note: adding a column also fires `page.properties_updated` once per existing row in the data source. Customers wanting a single structural-change signal should use this trigger.

TriggerInstant

Delete Signer

Tool to delete a signer. Use when you need to remove a signer from a specific application environment after confirming signer ID.

Trigger Types

Four ways to start an automation.

A trigger is the event that kicks a workflow off. Notis supports four kinds: an event in a connected app, an inbound webhook, a recurring schedule, and soon, your own database.

Integration triggers

Fire when something happens inside a connected app. New Notion page, Stripe charge, Linear issue: any of 1,000+ apps can start a workflow.

New Notion pageStripe chargeCalendar event

Webhook triggers

A unique URL per workflow. Anything that can send an HTTP POST can start an automation, including no-code tools that speak webhooks.

Recurring triggers

Cron-style schedules run a workflow on the clock. Daily standups, hourly syncs, business-hours-only digests: the workhorse of Notis.

Why AI automation

Classic automation breaks. AI adapts.

Same triggers and actions, smarter middle. AI handles the fuzziness that breaks traditional Zapier-style workflows the moment a field gets renamed.
